Offer your department a unique team building experience that easily fits your budget and time constraints. See the city has you have never seen it before, or have an exhilarating adventure in the mountains. Our programs cater to employees of all skill and fitness levels with each member of the team contributing to the final objective.
Orienteering is a participation sport for all ages and fitness levels. Orienteers use an accurate, detailed map and a compass to find checkpoint locations in the landscape. It can be enjoyed as a walk in the woods or as a competitive race combining strategic thinking, navigation, and high intensity cross-country running.
We can provide a program to meet the time-frame and objectives of your group. A typical program, outlined below, would require between 2.5 – 4 hours of your group's time, depending on group size and whether you would like to include a debriefing session.
Each checkpoint will have point values that have been allocated based on a combination of distance and difficulty. Teams of 3 to 5 people will plan and implement a strategy to obtain the largest point total within the 90-minute time limit. The team that collects the most points less any late penalty points will be declared the champions. In addition, bonus points can be achieved by solving special challenges and puzzles along the route.
