For young sport leaders :
Q: Why should I become a youth sport leader?
By taking this course and become a trained community coach you will be able to volunteer (and later work) with kids sport programs. You can transfer the skills you learn into different multi- sport programs, community events, and school programs.
Why is it good to get involved?
A. There is no formal evaluation of Community Coaches after the workshop. As such, new CC's will remain as "Trained" and they recommended to coach with a help of a certified coach, indirect supervision.
Q. After the CC workshop, will I be registered as a coach with the CAC?
A. Yes. You will receive a NCCP number and you will be entered into the CAC's certification database (The Locker) where your progress as a coach (in all sports) will be recorded. There is more information about NCCP certification on the GET COACHING website.
